Our story

Rapha Ministries is the operating name of Prepare Kingsway Ministries, Inc., a non-profit organisation based in Sitio Sampalocan, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City — in the hills on the eastern edge of Metro Manila.

Sampalocan is a community where many families live with very little. Children grow up close to the cement works and the informal settlements that surround it; opportunities are few, and the pressures on families are many. It is here that our work is rooted.

The name Rapha comes from the Hebrew word for healing. That is what we seek to be for the children and families entrusted to us — a place of healing after hardship, and a place of refuge where children are safe, valued, respected, and given opportunities to grow and flourish.

Our work began with children: a space to come to after school, a meal, someone who believed in them. Over time that grew into a full program of holistic care spanning education, nutrition, health, family support and spiritual formation. Today we run a Drop-in Centre, weekly children's and youth clubs, an After School Program, maternal health support and regular community outreach.

In 2022, our work was formally recognised when we were certified by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) — a certification we hold, alongside BIR certification, through April 2027.

To see children with their families transformed by God's grace and power into Christ-centred, God-fearing, wholesome and responsible individuals that would influence the community.

Our mission

To engage in activities that promote social welfare, empowerment, health, spiritual development and character building of disadvantaged, poor and marginalized families — through seminars, training, health education and assistance, discipleship programs, counselling, family activities, camps, feeding programs, sports, community outreaches and more, for God's glory.

We care for the whole child — body, mind, heart and spirit. Food alone is not enough; a child also needs to be known, heard and loved.
